Sixt was created in 1912 by Martin Sixt. At first, the idea was to offer daily rental packages and this service was mainly aimed at English noble families or rich Americans at the time. And that’s how the adventure began with three Mercedes.
In 1951, the “Auto Sixt” car rental concept was launched and the fleet expanded and diversified (commercial vehicles…). Agencies are located in strategic locations such as airports and railway stations. Partnerships with airlines and hotel chains are being set up to ensure that customers benefit as much as possible from them.
In France, Sixt has been present since 1997 and continues to grow internationally. The objective is to be present in as many countries as possible to be as close as possible to its customers.
